SPEAK GRACIOUS WORDS.
(Let Go Of Pride Completely)
TO THE BIBLE 1 Peter 3:10 CEV
“Do you really love life? Do you want to be happy? Then stop saying cruel things and quit telling lies.”
LET’S TALK
I get concerned when I see young people who are rude, who use harsh,
unkind words when addressing others: their parents, siblings, teachers,
colleagues, and even friends. You should never emulate such behaviour ,
because the Bible says “…Don’t yell at one another or curse each other
or ever be rude” (Ephesians 4:31 CEV). A person may be good and humble
in his heart, yet be crude in his speech and mannerisms. He may not
start out being rude, yet at the end, his words leave those listening to
him offended.
This is why as a child of God, you must
consciously learn to use the right language. Talking right is a vital
part of your spiritual growth and development. You should always
consciously and consistently improve the way you address others.
Remember what the officers who were sent to arrest the Lord Jesus said
about Him: “No man ever spoke like this Man!” (John 7:46). They were
captivated by His words, and blessed by His communication! This should
be the same testimony that others have of you. Get those around you
inspired by the words that come out of you.
Your words define
your life, value, and personality. The character of your words is the
character of your personality. Therefore, let your words be full of
grace always; let your communication be edifying. Rid your vocabulary of
all bitter, malicious, coarse, and hurtful words. Walk in love, and
don’t just show love to those who love you, but also to those who may
not like you. Let your words be seasoned with love at all times.

Pray
Blessed Father, thank you for your love that’s shed abroad in my heart.
