USE HIS NAME
(The Authority of the Name of Jesus)
TO THE BIBLE Philippians 2:9-11
“Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
LET’S TALK
Some people hear the name “Jesus” and think it’s probably some guy from Brazil or Spain. For them, “Jesus” is just an ordinary name, but that name has more significance and power than a lot of people realise.
The Bible says, “Long ago God spoke in many different ways to our fathers through the prophets, in visions, dreams, and even face to face, telling them little by little about his plans. But now in these days he has spoken to us through his Son to whom he has given everything and through whom he made the world and everything there is” (Hebrews 1:1-2 TLB). This Son of God, Jesus Christ, is the exact representation of God’s personality. The Bible goes on to declare Him to be, “...the sole expression of the glory of God [the Light-being, the out-raying or radiance of the divine], and He is the perfect imprint and very image of [God’s] nature…” (Hebrews 1:3 AMP). And all things were made in His Name, which means the seal on everything that God made bears the awesome Name of Jesus!
The Bible says further that God highly exalted and gave Him the Name “Jesus” that’s above every name. The power of His Name isn’t in the way it sounds; it’s in the authority vested in it by the Father. So if, for example there are 3 friends who spoke French, Spanish, and German, their pronunciation and spelling of “Jesus” would vary, but the authority vested in it by God is the same.
Whenever you call that Name in whatever language, understand this—it’s got all power! You can heal the sick, cast out devils, and work wonders in the Name of Jesus. It’s got all of Heaven’s authority behind it. Be bold to use it today.

Thank you, dear heavenly Father, for the privilege to use the awesome and powerful Name of Jesus. I’m performing miracles and working wonders in His Name. No obstacle is able to stand before me successfully, because I’ve taken hold of the authority vested in the Name of Jesus.
